Meet mike

A Different Approach.

I take coaching goalies to the next level. Not only addressing the physical aspects, but the mental facets as well.

The mental side of goaltending is often overlooked and undervalued. This is the complete incorrect approach, in my opinion. Understanding focus, confidence, emotional balance, We integrate techniques to address these aspects of mindset into every element of training so our tendies are given the proper tools to empower them to improve their performance and find their "zen".

The Journey

Youth Hockey Career
1999-2010

From Skate City Roller Hockey to AAA and Varisty High School, with a whole lot of shots in-between. My Journey began between the pipes and that is where my passion continues to be found.

2011
A Call To Coach

Having little to no goalie coaching growing up, I wanted to give back and teach the position, the game, that gave me so much in life. I started coaching young goalies at various camps with former coaches, offering to work with their goalies and learn the art of coaching. I continue to this day with goalies of all ages from 8u to College-age.

Master of Arts in Sport and Performance Psychology
2014

It's only fitting that a goalie coach focuses on the mental aspect of performance right? This intensive route gave me the tools to address  the mental side of the game.

Beyond the Rink

Raised in Littleton, Colorado - hockey was a huge part of my life from early on. My parents became "mildly concerned" about my obsession with hockey when I would elect to shoot on myself in the living room with a right-handed mini hockey stick to practice my glove saves (I happened to be doing a play-by-play call of each save out loud but they were great saves so they deserved the call).

Outside of the rink, I am a dedicated Pediatric RN. I've always worked with kids and truly enjoy being able to help people in their greatest times of need.

My passion for Sport Psychology and the application of theory in everyday life tends to find it's way in just about everything I do, as my wife can attest to (she puts up with a whole lot).

My wife Francesca and I have two pups, Bronny and Arya (not-pictured) and one son, Leo (kind of pictured). My family means the world to me and I wouldn't be able to do any of this without their amazing support.
